Parents Surprise Foster Kid With Adoption News In Family Court

Haven Dockins has been in foster care for 10 years. Then something amazing happened…

It was official; Haven was adopted. I haven’t seen an adoption surprise this good since 19-year-old Meredith’s.

Judge Rod Paasch said, Haven, you’re here smiling so I guess youre happy with this?” Haven enthusiastically replied yes. This is the best Christmas Ive ever had in my whole life, she said.“I love them so much; they mean so much to me. I am so happy right now.” Haven will be spending Christmas with her two loving parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Forthe holidays most kids want a new tablet or game console, but Haven just wanted something we too often take for granted: a family.
